It was excellent to find a place that would deliver to Jackson since even the bigger chains will not come this far. We wanted a good local pizza place and Michaleno's is a good option. We order a fairly standard pizza, so I cannot speak on their specialty pizzas or other items, but for delivery, it is hot, the crust is crispy and it tastes good. It is a bit expensive for what it is and I would expect more fresh items rather than packaged, but it is good. The drivers have been quite nice and since our place does not show up on map programs directly, they are always good about calling and making it here promptly. I do wish the phone service was a bit better - sometimes it is great, other times, it is cold and mechanical. It is also apparent that there is no computer tracking as we always have to give our complete information. A few bumps in the road, but still a good option for those in the area that want good pizza.

I'll preface this review with the fact that the town I am from (Kenosha) has many excellent Italian restaurants. So I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to good Italian food. Sorry,. I want local restaurants to do well and to be there for people. But... (sigh) We went here recently because they had a groupon for just the Italian food side of the menu (no pizza). Given that we like to try different places I thought... hmm.. who knows. Maybe West Bend finally has a decent Italian option. This was really just bad. Groupon was for 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 desert. Appetizer was eggplant (deep fried of course). Out of a bag.. at least it was hot. Wife had spaghetti, sauce was almost sickly sweet, reminded me of Prego out of a jar. Noodles out of a box. I had the "Baked Gourmet Ravioli" - Italian sausage. They were frozen out of a bag. If I didn't know I ordered the italian sausage ones, I wouldn't have been able to tell you what kind I was eating. Same sauce with way too much baked cheese on top. Desert - brownie bites. Umm.. out of a bag deep fried in the same oil that everything is fried with so they tasted a bit like the appetizers. Nothing was fresh here, I don't know if they make their own sauce, but come on, good sauce isn't all that difficult to make. We did not take the leftovers home. Not worth the calories to eat. I'm giving them two stars because the service was pretty good and the pizza *looked* good (other people there were eating pizza), but I can't speak for it. If you go here, don't get the Italian food unless you are a Prego/Ragu fan.

The only pizza I will order at this place is their Taco pizza. The other pizza's I have tried here are average at best. I also had their lasagna one time and again average (was pretty bland in taste). The owner is very nice but the lady answering the phone to place an order needs some help in the customer service area. Normally when a person calls a business they are greeted with something along the lines of "Thank you for calling ____, this is ___, how can I help you?". The lady literally answered the phone like she was at home by simply saying...Hello. No acknowledgement of place I called, or her name. I had to ask her if I called the right place. Oh my...

My wife and I dined at the West Bend location of Michaleno's, which has the same owner's as the Kewaskum location. The wait staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant is relatively new and clean. I was really excited to see the menu had a rather extensive selection of Italian food in the hopes that this would be the place we could go if we needed an Italian food fix. Since the restaurant seemed to be known for it's pizza, that's what we got... one taco pizza and one "blanket" vegetable pizza (I.e., a "blanket" pizza has a crust on the bottom and the top.) My first disappointment was when I learned that thin crust was the only option. Ok, fine... I can deal with that. Unfortunately, neither my wife nor I were impressed with the pizzas. There really wasn't anything "taco" about the taco pizza that I could tell. No lettuce, no tomatoes, and no taste of taco seasoning on what little beef there was. I've had some really good taco pizzas at various restaurants and this didn't even come close. It looked like a pizza you'd get in the freezer section of your local grocery store... lots of cheese but not much else. I guess that'd be fine if the pizza was really inexpensive, but it wasn't. The vegetable pizza also didn't live up to my expectations. For much less money, the Papa Murphy's gourmet vegetable pizza is way better. The pizza lacked any real flavor and although there was a decent amount of vegetables, it was no Papa Murphy's (not to mention we paid a lot for the pizza because the menu didn't have a "blanket" vegetable pizza which means we paid extra for all the toppings.) So sadly, I really wanted to like Michaleno's, but I'm afraid I won't be back. There's nothing special about the pizzas that I can't get at pretty much any cheap(er) pizza joint. Perhaps I'm too much of a pizza snob, but if I actually go out to eat to get pizza, I expect it to be at least as good or better than something I could buy pre-made.

My family and I have has great experiences with their delivery pizza. It's not the most amazing pizza I've ever had, but it's good and it sure is nice to have a delivery option in Kewaskum.
